mario.Database.to_iot
- Database.to_iot(method, inplace=True)#
Transform a SUT database into an IOT database.
- Parameters:
method – Eurostat method:
A/Bfor product-by-product orC/Dfor industry-by-industry. Regional classifications need not be uniform.A/Crequire square, invertible supply and zero activity final demand.B/Dpreserve nonzeroYaand accounts attached to either side of the SUT.inplace – When
True, mutate the current database. WhenFalse, return a transformed copy.
- Returns:
Transformed database when
inplace=False, otherwiseNone.- Return type:
Database | None
Notes
Converts the baseline and drops other scenarios, retaining its public name. Only observed regional nodes are used. Sparse input stays sparse; no unified SUT transaction view or dense inverse is constructed. Undefined allocation at a zero-output node with nonzero flows/accounts raises
WrongInputnaming the nodes. Singular supply also raises an error; no pseudoinverse, balancing or data correction is applied.
See Convert a SUT to an IOT for the assumptions behind methods A–D, allocation examples and equations.
