Parse a monetary EXIOBASE IOT folder into a Database instance.

Note

The parser auto-detects the EXIOBASE layout from the folder contents and metadata.json. The version argument is kept only as an optional compatibility check. Official 3.8.2 metadata carrying v3.81 is recognized as 3.8.2 when its dataset name is exio382_ntnu.

Monetary IOT releases currently supported through MARIO include EXIOBASE 3.8.2, 3.9.4, 3.9.5, 3.9.6, 3.10.1, 3.10.2, and 3.11.2.

Parameters:

  • path (str) – path to the EXIOBASE IOT directory

  • calc_all (boolean) – if True, by default will calculate z,v,e after parsing

  • year (int, Optional) – optional to the Database (just for recoding the metadata)

  • name (str, Optional) – optional but suggested. is useful for visualization and metadata.

  • version (str, Optional) – optional compatibility check against the version detected from the dataset metadata and folder layout

  • system (str, Optional) – optional compatibility check against the system detected from the dataset metadata and folder layout, typically "ixi" or "pxp".

  • model (str, optional) – Public MARIO model class to instantiate; defaults to Database.
