mario.get_settings_path()

Return the user configuration file path without creating or loading it.

Returns:

settings.yaml under MARIO_CONFIG_DIR when set, otherwise under ~/Library/Application Support/MARIO on macOS, %APPDATA%/MARIO on Windows, or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/mario (default ~/.config/mario) on other platforms. Windows falls back to ~/AppData/Roaming when APPDATA is unset.

Notes

Set MARIO_CONFIG_DIR before importing MARIO to use a separate profile for a project or environment. Prefer an absolute directory path. The default profile is shared by environments belonging to the same user.
