CoreModel.m_ex(*, factors=None, scenario: str = 'baseline')#

Return exploded value-added multipliers for IOT: diag(v) @ w.

\[m_{\mathrm{ex}} = \operatorname{diag}(v_h)\,w\]

The equation is for one selected factor of production h. Summing contributor rows for each factor recovers that row of m.

Parameters:
  • factors – Optional subset of factor rows to explode. Accepts one label or an iterable of labels.

  • scenario – Scenario used to read source matrices.

Returns:

DataFrame with a 3-level MultiIndex on the rows (factor, region, sector).

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame

Notes

For SUT models use ma_ex() (activity side) or mc_ex() (commodity side).

The full baseline result is also available as the property db.m_ex_all.
