mario.calc_ea(Ea, Xa)

Calculate the ea activity-side environmental coefficients matrix.

\[e_a = E_a\,\operatorname{diag}(X_a)^{-1}\]

Inverse production is computed elementwise; zero production entries have inverse zero and set the corresponding coefficient columns to zero.

Parameters:

• Ea (pandas.DataFrame) – Direct environmental flows, with accounts on rows and activity nodes on columns.

• Xa (pandas.DataFrame) – Activity production vector. Its index must match Ea.columns.

Returns:

Activity-side coefficients, with the same index and columns as Ea.

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame
