Calculate the b intersectoral transaction direct-output coefficients matrix.

\[b = \operatorname{diag}(X)^{-1}Z\]

Parameters:

• X (pandas.DataFrame) – X total production vector.

• Z (pandas.DataFrame) – Z intersectoral transaction flows matrix.

Returns:

b intersectoral transaction direct-output coefficients matrix. Rows of Z are scaled by inverse production.

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame

Notes

Inverse production is computed elementwise. A zero production entry has inverse zero, so the corresponding row is set to zero.
