mario.calc_fa(ea, waa, ec=None, u=None)#

Calculate the fa activity-side total environmental coefficients matrix.

When ec=None, the commodity term is omitted and u is not needed. Supplying ec without u raises ValueError.

Parameters:

  • ea (pandas.DataFrame) – Activity-side direct environmental coefficients: accounts by activity nodes.

  • waa (pandas.DataFrame) – Activity-to-activity Leontief inverse. Its row axis must match the columns of ea.

  • ec (pandas.DataFrame, optional) – Commodity-side direct environmental coefficients. Defaults to zero. Its row axis must match ea.index.

  • u (pandas.DataFrame, optional) – Use coefficients: commodity nodes by activity nodes. Required when ec is supplied.

Returns:

Total direct and indirect coefficients, with accounts on rows and activity nodes on columns.
