mario.calc_F(f, Y)#

Calculate the F total (direct+indirect) environmental transaction flows matrix.

Parameters:

  • f (pandas.DataFrame) – f total (direct+indirect) environmental transaction coefficients matrix.

  • Y (pandas.DataFrame) – Y final demand matrix.

Returns:

F total (direct+indirect) environmental transaction flows matrix.

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame

Notes

Final demand is summed across its columns, then each column of f is scaled by the corresponding total. The output keeps the accounts and production-node axes of f; it does not keep the final-demand category columns of Y.
