Calculate the SUT supply direct-output coefficients bs.

\[b_s = \operatorname{diag}(X_a)^{-1}S\]

Parameters:

• Xa (pandas.DataFrame or pandas.Series) – Activity production, indexed exactly like the rows of S. A DataFrame must have one column.

• S (pandas.DataFrame) – Supply flows, with activity rows and commodity columns.

Returns:

Direct-output coefficients, with the activity rows and commodity columns of S.

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame

Notes

Each row is divided by activity production. A zero production value sets the corresponding coefficient row to zero.
