Calculate the SUT product-mix matrix c for product-based technology.

\[c = S^{\mathsf{T}}\operatorname{diag}(X_a)^{-1}\]
Parameters:

  • S (pandas.DataFrame) – Supply flows, with activity rows and commodity columns.

  • Xa (pandas.DataFrame or pandas.Series) – Activity production, indexed exactly like the rows of S. A DataFrame must have one column.

Returns:

Product-mix coefficients, with the commodity columns of S as rows and its activity rows as columns.

Return type:

pandas.DataFrame

Notes

This helper explicitly uses the product-based definition. Inverse zero activity production is treated as zero. For a nonsingular square product mix, the PT supply coefficients satisfy s = c^-1.
